As part of their commitment to provide the Australian Mortgage Broking industry with the best in business platforms, Stargate are currently undertaking the most significant platform redevelopment since the creation of the Symmetry program.

In announcing the system upgrade to its 2000 users, Stargate Group CEO, Brett Spencer said that “as the first major system-wide re-development since the creation of Symmetry in 2001 and with an investment of over $1.5 million dollars, this upgrade into the latest technologies will enable Stargate to continue to provide award winning software and serve our customers for the next 10 years.”

Along with the introduction of a range of new features, the greatest change to Symmetry relates to the technology platform that provides its underlying support. As a product that is built using Microsoft Technologies, Stargate are now adopting the, Microsoft Dynamics CRMTM technology platform in a partnership with Microsoft for the Australian mortgage broking industry.

Paul Voges, Director of SMB & Partner Group at Microsoft stated that “For Microsoft, partnering with a leading provider like Stargate gives brokers access to customised solutions that are built with their particular needs in mind. Developed specifically for the Australian mortgage broking market, Symmetry CRMTM will enable brokers businesses to grow and adapt as their needs change while retaining a familiar look and feel that gives them a simple and productive user experience”

Stargate’s strong Microsoft partnership underpins this transition and the upgrades mean that they can:
• Maintain a robust mortgage broking platform catering for future growth and industry compliance.
• Provide smooth integration into other Microsoft products such as Outlook & Office.
• Add increased functionality specific to brokers needs including enhanced reporting functionality, business intelligence and connectivity options
• Provide access to the new E-PASS Partner Application Store that provides users with greater flexibility and choice about what they want their business platform to entail.

E-PASS will enable users to select from a range of industry participants to provide additional services to its clients including Insurances and Financial Planning in addition to electronic lodgement through NextGen and property reports through RPData.

Symmetry CRMTM moved into its early adopter program in January 2010 for testing and usability studies with a small number of users (approx 100 users) to ensure that the required functionality and enhancements meet the general needs to the mortgage broker market. The full release program for Symmetry CRMTM is still being developed and is expected to be available for use in May 2010.

Having processed more than 300,000 applications worth over $130 Billion dollars, Symmetry is the most advanced loan management tool for Australian mortgage professionals providing everything a broker or aggregation group needs to streamline any business. Offering both online and offline functionality, Symmetry offers lead management, executive reporting, point of sale tools, electronic lodgement, loan processing workflows, marketing tools and commissions management

And there lies the biggest problem, Crappysoft. I am sick of broker sites being written for explorer only. The slowest browser, full of security holes and a cookie lover. Too bad if you’ve got your iPad in the kitchen and a customer calls, you’ll have to go to your pc, load it up, wait for security patches to load, hope there’s no blue screen blah blah blah.

Hi Phil,

I hear your concerns and to your point one of our main considerations when developing the new User Interface for Symmetry CRM is to provide cross browser support for all operating systems (and yes this includes Safari, FireFox, SeaMonkey, Google Chrome & Opera). We have built the interface using the Microsoft Silverlight Platform which is designed to alleviate the need to be dependent on Internet Explorer.
You can get more information on this product at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Silverlight#Compatibility

As an avid Apple user as well as a MS solutions provider, my main requirement for the Symmetry CRM system build was to cater for the growing market share of non IE browsers and the Silverlight platform enable us to meet this requirement.

Regards
