Our system is fine (compare it to overseas debacles) but it just needs some plain & simple, firm measures thrown in like the government saying (to banks) "if we guarantee your deposits, we will control your lending interest rates". The gov't also needs to break down the unfair bargaining position of clients that have to agree to hundreds of one sided terms & conditions, just so they can get a loan. Still it would be good to keep the ________ honest.
