4. John Gandel: $US1.7 bln property
5. Andrew Forrest: $US1.65 bln mining
6. Anthony Pratt: $US1.6 bln packaging
7. Gina Rinehart: $US1.5 bln mining
8. Kerr Neilson: $US1.45 bln investment
9. Kerry Stokes: $US1.0 bln media
10. Lindsay Fox: $US970 mln logistics

It’s interesting to note, especially for those of us invovled in the mortgage industry that 3 of the top 4 richest Australian’s have made their fortunes through Property.  Not only that, but they are consistenly there as well, where other industries can be quite volatile (just look at the drop in the mining industry!).

A wise man once told me - “You can never go wrong with property.”  Guess he’s right!
