Fuller replaces Vernon as ASF chairman

Australian Securitisation ForumFinance lawyer Stuart Fuller has been appointed as the new chairman of the Australian Securitisation Forum (ASF).

Mr Fuller is recognised as one of Australia’s pre-eminent layers in securitisation and structured finance, ASF said on Wednesday, being involved in most major securitisation transactions undertaken in the Asia Pacific region in the past decade.

The ASF is the peak industry body representing the securitisation market in Australia.

Given current liquidity issues, the ASF intends to step up its efforts to develop an appropriate way forward for securitisation markets, Mr Fuller said.

He replaces outgoing ASF chairman Phil Vernon.

The ASF said it was continuing with its search for a new chief executive follow former chief executive Greg Medcraft’s appointment as a commissioner of the Australian and Securities Investment Commission (ASIC).
